Hyperbike riding in : (sunny southwest Europe) recently moved to less sunny northern Europe

21st European HOG Rally @ Cascais

First of all I’m not a fan of Harley-Davidson. most of their bikes are to heavy, too slow, too expensive, rattle too much and have far to much chrome to be cleaned. But as a bike lover I could’nt miss out on the opportunity to see 12.000 of them together at Cascais for the 21st HOG European Rally.

And I’ve got to hand it to the Harley Fans, they are loyal and enthusiastic! Bikes from Scotland, England, France, Germany, Italy all here in Portugal for this rally. All impeccably clean and shinny! I don’t know how they do it, I really don’t.

But enough talk, check out some of the video and the photos I took.

After the parade went past and the road cleared I set off after them (it was my route home) and quickly got caught up in the Harley Traffic, endured for about 5km in 1st gear before I gave up, the ZZR was steaming hot and seamed like it wanted to cook my legs.

Decided to stop for a litle while and this was the bike stopped right next to me:

Yes, I know it’s not a Harley, but for me this was the most amazing bike of the day, a Bimota DB6 with Italian plates. Did he really rode this from Italy here?! First time I saw one live, it’s stunningly beautifull!
