2012 ZX14R vs 2012 Suzuki Hayabusa

Just one of the many head to head battles between Suzuki’s hawk and Kawasaki’s mothership. A waist of time really, the ZZR (or ZX14R in the US version) rules! 😉

Mondo Enduro

I’m a big fan of Ewan’s and Charlie’s bike adventures, love the DVDs and the books. I’ve seen them and read them multiple times, but I got a say compared to the guys of Mondo Enduro, what they did was as easy as a Cruise in the Mediterranean.

I’m embarrassed to admit I didn’t know about Mondo Enduro until now. Just found their DVD this week almost by accident, but if you haven’t seen it, please do!

It’s about the fantastic journey of seven crazy Brits who decided to quit their jobs and ordinary lives to go round the world by the longest possible land route in the shortest time possible! Riding Suzuki DRZ350s (yes BMW riders, not all the adventure touring is done on a GS) for 400 days around the globe sleeping in tents or abandoned sheds along the way to allow for the low budget they had.

Having to deal with whichever the weather threw at them, the multiple punctures, the crashes, the mechanical failures with a hand full of their own ingenuity and the good will of the locals.

No sponsors, a VHS camera and a Super8 camera, filming the trip themselves and writing a daily journal (on paper!!)

And remeber this was in 1995/1996, way before cell phones, GPS, iPhones and iPads where an everyday item.

You can buy the Books and DVS on Amazon or check out their Website

And here’s the trailer for Mondo Enduro

Who ever said Hyperbikes are not practical

The perfect vehicle to go buy the grosseries?

A 200mph (or 186…) Hyperbike!
